Megan Schlaud, HFS, ACSM
Our rehabilitation services are provided by Megan Schlaud, who was born and raised in the Burien area. Megan has always been an athlete and enjoyed playing soccer, basketball and softball from elementary school through college. Along with her love for sports came a love for fitness. Megan can remember creating workout routines and running her friends through sports drills during recess in elementary school. In middle school, Megan began taking strength and conditioning classes, and her love for fitness grew. Megan attended Seattle Pacific University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. She went on to receive a Health Fitness Specialist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and has been working as a personal trainer since 2009.
Megan is passionate about creating specialized workouts for each client that not only helps them achieve their personal fitness goals but that can also be enjoyed. She works hard to find what each client enjoys doing in the gym and help them create workouts that can contribute to a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Megan is also passionate about combating childhood obesity. She specializes in working with kids/youth to help them discover a style of physical activity that they can enjoy and easily incorporate into their daily lives. Megan has worked with many kids/teens in her time as a personal trainer and has also led family personal training sessions where everyone gets moving!
Megan is excited to contribute to the skill set at the Burien Center for Health and Wellbeing and help others in their journey to living a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
